OLTC Performance Analyzer

Onload tap changers (OLTC) are critical components of power transformers and JTS has developed a unique PC based offline diagnostic system which is useful for OLTC manufacturers. OLTC Performance analyzer is a complete test setup for understanding the performance characteristics of onload tap changer. It has complete control over tap position, tap movement, drive mechanism and measurement system. Automatic and Manual mode of operations of OLTC drive mechanism for both directions of tap changer operations are possible through PC based control. Using various mathematical tools and advanced software algorithms, all parameters are monitored continuously in the automatic/manual mode of OLTC operation. Endurance test options are also provided in automatic continuous mode of OLTC operation and number of cycles of operations can be controlled through PC. 

Measurement system makes it possible to estimate the operating time deviations and performance of motor drive mechanism, diverter switch mechanism and change over selector of OLTC. Synchronized measurement of time-angle deviations of OLTC operations provides accurate results to manufacturers.
